Field-to-Office QA

Review recorded setups, fit residuals, backsights, field checks, point rows and height history against limits you enter. Build an advisory field review in your browser, with source-linked findings and local print, JSON and CSV outputs.

Uses only this tool title and its public link. Inputs, results, coordinates and filenames are not included. Sharing starts only when you press the button.

Free advisory field tool — every result is computed in your browser from the inputs you provide and is advisory and unverified, not for survey deliverables. Where a published guideline applies, results only ever read “within guideline” or “exceeds guideline — review”. The full working is shown for every calculation so each step can be re-checked. Registered surveyor confirmation required before reliance.

1. Choose files

Local processing only. File bytes, names, hashes, coordinates, codes and findings stay in this browser tab. No uploads, login or background persistence. A local SHA-256 identifies bytes, not authenticity or survey correctness.

Reads conventional total-station setups, backsights, residuals, checks, target heights and reduced points from Trimble JobXML 6.27 and 6.34. Other versions are refused rather than guessed. Tested so far with synthetic files; the review shows evidence that could not be read. Point CSV: UTF-8, comma-delimited point,E,N,Z,code in metres. Maximum 25 MiB per survey file; 1 MiB code list.

Drop one primary file here, or use the labelled file picker above.

FICTIONAL — SITE LOCAL — NOT A FIELD SURVEY · PUBLIC BETA — ADVISORY ONLY. Sample action also supplies a fictional code list, declared SITE LOCAL frames and fictional worked-example limits — replace them for the current job. Confirm the displayed reference proposals and select fit groups separately.

Choose a primary file or load the synthetic sample.

Current complete report is not prepared for printing. Regenerate the review, open the complete report preview and use Print advisory report. Earlier or unfinished snapshots are not printed.

Method

How to review field-to-office survey evidence

Choose local evidence, declare the scope and inspect an advisory snapshot with all unassessed evidence retained.

  1. Choose a primary source

Read the local-processing promise, then choose a supported JobXML file or point CSV, or load the fictional SITE LOCAL sample.

  2. Declare limits and reference choices

Enter your limits and frames, select the recorded fit group, and confirm each proposed or manually selected reference association.

  3. Review and prepare the snapshot

Review setup coverage and every finding, regenerate after changes, then print or download the same local advisory snapshot.

Australian surveying FAQ

Questions about Field-to-Office QA

What does field to office survey QA review in Australia?

This advisory tool reviews the supplied observation history, point rows and selected references. It flags supported numerical results and missing evidence for registered-surveyor review; it supplies no jurisdictional tolerance.

Which JobXML versions can it read?

Reads the conventional total-station records in Trimble JobXML 6.27 and 6.34 files: setups, backsights, residuals, checks, target heights and reduced points. Other versions are refused rather than guessed. Tested so far with synthetic files; if an export is refused or only partly read, the review shows what could not be read.

Do files or findings leave the browser?

No. Processing uses a local browser worker and in-memory review. Files, names, hashes and derived findings are not uploaded or sent to analytics. Print and JSON/CSV downloads are user-initiated local outputs.

Are tolerances supplied by default?

No default tolerance is supplied. Missing limits produce CHECK findings. The sample can load fictional worked-example limits that must be replaced for the current job.
